We are looking for an Application Engineer Embedded Controls to join our team and develop controls for our multifuel engines. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Turku, Finland is possible. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work. 
  
Your role and responsibilities:  
 
As an application engineer, you will be working in one of our control’s functionality development teams. Together with the team you are responsible for end-to-end implementation of new controls. A typical controls implementation task includes requirement gathering, modelling of the controls, development of test cases, implementation of controls and finally writing the documentation for the new control implemented. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a member in one of our development teams. You will also interact with developers from other teams in area of engine controls.
 
Requirements for the position: 

  • M.Sc in automation engineering or process engineering or other relevant field
  • Knowledge of closed loop control
  • Analytical mindset and ability to understand complex system
  • Process modelling experience
  • Excellent teamworking, coaching and communication skills.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English, our everyday work language is English

 
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 
 

  • Competence in the following areas:
    • Matlab/Simulink
    • CI tools such as Atlassian
    • Experience in C programming
    • Experience from model creation for simulation purposes
  • Experience in controls modelling
  • Digital signal processing skills
