Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on data leader to architect and operationalize our enterprise data foundation for AI and advanced analytics. This role will lead the greenfield rollout of Databricks, establish data governance and quality frameworks, and build a high-performing team that enables AI-native services and decision intelligence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Strategy & Architecture
  Define and execute the roadmap for a unified data platform that supports AI, analytics, and operational intelligence at scale.
• Greenfield Databricks Rollout
  Lead the design and implementation of Databricks Lakehouse architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Governance & Compliance
  Establish data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks to ensure trust, compliance, and responsible AI enablement.
• Hands-On Leadership
  Be deeply involved in technical design and implementation—from data pipelines to performance tuning—while mentoring and growing the team.
• AI Enablement
  Partner with AI/ML teams to ensure data readiness for Generative AI, predictive models, and agentic workflows.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, aligning data initiatives with strategic objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading enterprise data platform initiatives, ideally in a greenfield or large-scale modernization context.
• Expertise in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Medallion Architecture) and AWS cloud services.
• Strong background in data engineering, SQL, Python, and distributed processing (Spark).
• Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Team leadership experience: building and managing high-performing data teams.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in fast-moving environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience enabling AI/ML and Generative AI solutions through robust data foundations.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and data democratization strategies.
• Track record of driving cultural change toward data-driven decision-making.

• Databricks platform live with core data domains onboarded and governance in place.
• Operational data governance framework implemented, including lineage and quality metrics.
• AI-ready data foundation enabling first wave of GenAI and analytics use cases.
• High-performing team established with clear roles, processes, and delivery cadence.
