Wärtsilä Global Business Services (WGBS) provides reliable, scalable, and standardized services to support core business operations. WGBS partners with businesses to drive continuous improvements in end-to-end processes for enhanced effectiveness, quality, efficiency, and compliance.
We are looking for two Assistant Managers to our RTR Center of Expertise Entity Close. We offer you the opportunity to work in an international and energetic environment.
As an Assistant Manager within our RTR, you will lead and support the team, providing guidance and coaching to specialists in SAP module closing processes. In this international and dynamic environment, you will oversee global Record to Report activities, spearhead development and optimisation
Your main responsibilities are:
- Lead and manage the RTR Entity Close team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to experts in SAP module closing processes
- Oversee global Record to Report activities and processes in SAP
- Lead & encourage development and optimization initiatives
- Lead implementation of global processes and guidelines, proactively challenging deviations and ensuring alignment with organizational standards
- Ensure the execution and monitoring of pre-closing and closing activities globally, including oversight of SAP automated closing jobs (Smart Close), and resolve issues to maintain process integrity
- Foster active cooperation, communication, and knowledge sharing across end-to-end processes and with internal and external stakeholders worldwide
- Drive the identification, evaluation, and implementation of innovative solutions for continuous development, improvement, and harmonization of RTR processes and tools
- Ensure proper and updated documentation of process flows, work splits, tasks, and agreed guidelines
Main requirements in this role are:
- Bachelor or master’s level university education or equivalent in Financial Accounting
- Proven expertise in SAP modules and a strong understanding of financial closing processes
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams in a global business services environment
- Systematic and organized approach to work, with attention to detail and a commitment to process excellence
- Development-oriented mindset, with a focus on automation and process improvement
- Advanced English skills, other languages are considered an advantage
- Networking, network facilitation and co-creation
- Cooperation with different external and internal stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
In addition, as an ideal candidate you have:
- Knowledge and experience of SAP, FI, CO module, knowledge in other modules is seen as an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of Smart Close closing tool.
- Knowledge and experience of RPA and different automation tools.
- Work experience from a Global business services environment.
