A proper data science toolbox is a strong requirement. Therefore, an ideal candidate has most of the following skills:

• Programming languages and libraries: Python (e.g. Pandas, Scipy, scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow), R, Java, Scala, Spark/Hadoop, SQL
• Machine learning, statistics
• Cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Watson
• Software development, presentation and sales skills are all major pluses.
