We are now looking for a Senior HR Manager to work as a strategic business partner and support selected UPM Global Functions units globally.

To enable business success, UPM's Human Resources influences proactively development of the needed capabilities and culture. We are divided into Business HR, Group HR and HR Services, but we're working as one HR.

What you’ll do

Your role is to ensure strategic HR partnership for selected Global Functions. You will ensure a business-driven people agenda for your respective responsibility functions as well as high quality people processes for the whole function globally. You will get to work with an experienced team, who is eager to make UPM one of the most wanted workplaces in Finland. You will report to Vice President, HR, UPM Energy Business Area and Global Functions.

You will proactively

• Be a partner with managers and provide HR solutions to achieve business targets
• Act as a member of the respective Global Functions management teams
• Drive impactful strategic people-related change and development programmes across your responsibility area (resourcing & recruitment, talent development, leadership and competence development, engagement, organizational development, performance, change management, compensation & benefits)
• Ensure that line management is up-to-date and informed about UPM HR processes and policies 

Who you are

• You have a relevant university degree
• You are a HR professional with minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in an international organization
• You have experience in working with senior leaders and management teams
• You are enthusiastic about change management, leadership development and organizational development
• You have multifaceted project management skills and experience
• You are a proactive and result driven person and can see the essential in complex business and organizational environment
• You have excellent networking, communication, coaching and influencing skills
