Are you the professional to lead our Competitive Intelligence team and to develop Valmet’s centralized competitive intelligence activities?

Your main tasks will be to manage and develop Valmet’s Competitive Intelligence (CI) activities. You will lead our centralized team of 3-4 experienced analysts and work in matrix with the wider global CI network. You will work in cooperation with line management to support decision making by providing relevant and insightful information and recommendations. In this role you will report to VP, Strategy and M&A and you will be located at one of Valmet’s main locations in Finland.

The main responsibilities of CI are:

• Support decision making with information and recommendations by monitoring, analyzing and communicating fact-based intelligence of Valmet’s business environment including markets, competitors, customers and industry regulation
• Ensure efficient and impactful analyzes, communication, and information sharing practices supported by appropriate access to information sources
• Continuous improvement of CI processes and utilization of automated reporting

To be successful in this position, you need to have:

• Master’s degree in Business Economics or Technology.
• Relevant experience from business development, strategy, consulting, investment banking or similar experience. Knowledge in some of Valmet’s industries or customer industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify/address problems, and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills, results orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, result-centered environment
• Excellent communication skills and effective at delivering results in a large matrix organization and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders
• Good knowledge of excel, power point, Power BI and automated reporting tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably in Finnish
