Varian’s Dose and Machine Modeling team is seeking a candidate with a strong background in software development and/or algorithm design. The team is responsible for modeling of treatment machine behavior and output in Varian's Treatment Planning software, as well as supporting and prototyping new hardware developments.  The team is an agile team of 10+ highly skilled professionals in software & algorithm development, as well as automatic and manual testing.   
 Our team will consider candidates that have university or professional experience from software development, software architecture, and/or numerical algorithms in C/C++ or similar language. GPU programming experience is beneficial, as well as university-level physics or mathematics studies.  An ideal candidate will have experience with some of the following topics:

• Professional software development and architecture
• C/C++ algorithm development
• GPU programming
• Strong communication skills in English
• Agile methodologies: scrum, kanban, etc.
