We are seeking a passionate Cloud Engineer (Cost Optimization) to help create the next big thing in data analysis and search solutions.

Job description:

You will spearhead our efforts to create effective scalable cloud (AWS) infrastructure and optimize efficiency of our product.    

You will be responsible for building strategy and infrastructure configuration to maximize resource utilization, minimizing cost. 

Candidates should have a strong systems cloud configuration, cost control, and scripting skills. The ideal candidate has an experience with AWS & Kubernetes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop a strategy to maximize resource utilization and minimize infrastructure costs
• Identification of opportunities and driving efforts for cloud cost savings (reservations and spot utilization)
• Maintain data related to cloud resource utilization and cloud billing details
• Perform cost analysis, forecasts, and recommendations on a monthly basis
• Perform reservations and utilize spot instances to minimize cloud computational cost 

Qualifications:

• BS / MS Degree in Computer Science
• Strong experience with AWS (at least 1 year of production experience)
• Experience with public cloud billing and cost reporting analyses (Billing and Cost Management console, Cloudability, etc)
• Hands-on infrastructure as code experience (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
•  Strong skills in scripting languages (shell scripts, Perl, Python, Boto3)

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP
• Strong experience in Boto3 scripting 
• Understanding of continuous deployment and how to get there
• Programming experience (Go, Java, NodeJS)
