Job description:

You will lead our cloud management efforts, overseeing the AlphaSense platform infrastructure. In this position you will manage and improve the infrastructure system’s reliability, security, and cost effectiveness. 

The ideal candidate has a strong system cloud configuration, monitoring, support, security, compliance, and scripting skills. You are passionate about development and execution of procedures, policies and related training plans to support infrastructure administration on a high level. Experience with AWS system engineering is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide general technical support including installation, patching, configuration, backups and updates
• Continuous evaluation of cost-saving measures and managing the departmental budget
• Identification of opportunities and driving efforts for cloud cost savings (reservations and spot utilization)
• Planning and identification of opportunities for infrastructure automation and system reliability improvements 
• Supporting multiple development and production environments from an infrastructure perspective 
• 24/7 support team leadership continuously improving incident management procedures and incident runbook improvements 
• Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery strategy for the organization 
• Cover security and compliance of AlphaSense product providing support on security questionnaires handling and audit processes (SOC2)    

Qualifications:

• BS / MS Degree in Computer Science
• Strong experience with AWS
• Strong experience in cloud networking and network administration
• Experience in infrastructure security and compliance
• Hands-on infrastructure as code experience  (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Practical skills with cloud cost control 
• Strong skills in scripting languages (shell scripts, Perl, Python)
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and/or other open-source monitoring/logging solutions
• Good working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong communication skills as well as a problem-solving mind 

Nice to have:

• Experience with K8s (helm, operators)
• Experience with OKTA adoption 
• Experience with centralized logging setup configuration and maintenance (EKS, FluentD, LogStash)
• Programming experience (Go, Java, NodeJS)
