Wärtsilä Contract Management Marine and Energy business lines delivers our remote Condition Monitoring services in close collaboration with other Wärtsilä stakeholders for our customers globally. To meet the growth within lifecycle solution offerings we have established a strong and focused life cycle services support (LCS) organisation to support and serve our data consumers.  
In the established LCS organisation the Cloud Engineer, AWS is responsible to manage and maintain our AWS infra hosting platform, its data processing components, optimise the usage and costs of our instances in collaboration with our Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) organisation and Maintenance & Support providing vendors.


You are part of our international team which operates from two locations, The Netherlands and Finland.
This primary location is in Vaasa, Finland.  Helsinki, Finland or Drunen in the Netherlands are also possible.

Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance according to ITIL guidelines
- Business requirement management
- Architecture and system management
- Issue/request handling coordination (Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Change requests, Enhancement RFP´s, Documentation)
- Coordination of maintenance, upgrades and deployment in production environment
- Bridging gaps between business and development-oriented teams
- Governance of service support providers (Tactical & Technical & Operative & CAB)
- Technical Roadmap development: Optimise (Architecture, Technology & Cost) of production environment (Instances and Applications)

Desired Skills:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Information Technology or equivalent education
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience
- System architecting experience
- Other cloud knowledge including Google Cloud, Azure seen as benefit
- Self-management skills
- A desire to learn, adapt and develop both yourself and the technical solutions
- Experience with Java, Java script, Python, Cubernetes
- Network administration and configuration understanding (Load Balancing, dns, ssl, network design, monitoring)
- Experience about (deployment) Automation, scripting Powershell and monitoring
- Experience about backup, disaster recovery, log management, security monitoring and hardening
- Good understanding about operative security
- A professional English language skill in written and spoken
