Wärtsilä Shared Service Center (WSSC) supports the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting or other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WSSC is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective, and efficient processes. WSSC is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous development and operational excellence.

We are now looking for Accountant, Invoicing to join our Invoicing team. This is a permanent position, located in Vaasa, Finland with hybrid remote work possibilities.
 
In the role of Accountant, Invoicing you will be involved with customer invoicing, especially providing centralized spare parts invoicing activities. We offer you an opportunity to work in a small team of experts with diverse expertise in customer invoicing having a broad global network consisting of process stakeholders in different businesses and global functions as well enormous learning possibilities.
 
In this role your main responsibilities are:

  • Creating and distributing invoices to internal and external customers globally
  • Monitoring customer invoicing related RPA processes
  • Maintaining customer invoicing tools and system configurations
  • Ensuring high-quality, harmonious and compliant processes by following legal requirements and Corporation guidelines and other process requirements
  • Identifying, investigating, and determining root causes related to invoicing bottlenecks and ensuring corrective actions and efficient communication between the process stakeholders
  • Assisting internal stakeholders in questions related to customer invoicing
  • Period end activities related to customer invoicing
  • Participating in development projects in customer invoicing area
  • Participating in continuous process and tool development by giving active input

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Financial education – M.Sc or B.Sc
  • Self-going, fast learner, good team-player, flexibility
  • Systematic and organized way of working, paying attention to details
  • Pro-active thinking, interest in process optimization
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, cooperation, and customer service skills
  • IT skills (e.g. MS Office), knowledge and experience of RPA, AI, Analytics
  • Advanced skills in English, Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in FICO, SD, PS and CS modules in SAP
  • Knowledge and experience of customer invoicing and invoice distribution processes in Wärtsilä
  • Knowledge and experience in Financial Accounting and Order-to-Cash process
  • Experience of working in shared services environment is an advantage
