Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa is a small restaurant located in Lieksa, Finland. We serve Chinese food as well as hamburgers, French fries and other grill and fast-food products.
We are looking for a Chinese Cuisine Cook / Restaurant Worker for a full-time, permanent employment relationship.
Job description
This is a versatile restaurant position. The main responsibility is preparing Chinese food, but the employee will also participate in the restaurants other daily operations.
The duties include:
\* preparing Chinese dishes
\* handling, cutting and preparing ingredients
\* preparing cold dishes and hot dishes
\* independently preparing food for larger groups of customers
\* designing and developing approximately 4–5 new Chinese dishes every year
\* developing the Chinese menu together with the employer
\* preparing hamburgers, French fries and other grill and fast-food products
\* cashier duties and customer service
\* washing dishes
\* cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and restaurant
\* arranging and restocking ingredients and other products
\* other daily duties required in a small restaurant
The position is not limited to Chinese cooking. The employee is expected to work flexibly in different areas of the restaurant, including the kitchen, cashier, customer service and cleaning.
What we expect from you
\* experience in Chinese cooking
\* ability to independently prepare Chinese dishes from preparation to finished food
\* good practical skills in handling ingredients, preparation and cooking
\* ability to prepare food for larger groups of customers
\* interest in designing and developing new Chinese dishes
\* careful, responsible and motivated approach to work
\* good hygiene and food safety practices
\* flexibility and willingness to perform different restaurant duties
\* good teamwork skills
Previous professional experience in restaurant or kitchen work is an advantage.
Employment conditions
\* Employment type: Permanent / open-ended
\* Working time: Full-time, according to the applicable collective agreement
\* Expected starting date: February 2027
\* Workplace: Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa, Braheantie 14, 81700 Lieksa, Finland
\* Working languages: English and Chinese
\* Salary: According to the applicable MaRa–PAM collective agreement, taking the employees relevant previous work experience into account
Annual restaurant closure
Our restaurant is completely closed during December and January. There is no restaurant activity or work during this period.
The employment relationship continues during the annual closure. Arrangements during the closure period, including any temporary layoff arrangements, will be made in accordance with Finnish legislation and the applicable MaRa–PAM collective agreement.
Employee benefits
The employee will receive a staff meal during working days.
Accommodation is not provided by the employer.
