Sri Lankan Cuisine and Gluten-Free Food Preparation Specialist / Chef

We are looking for a skilled and experienced chef with specialized expertise in traditional Sri Lankan cooking techniques and the preparation of gluten-free food products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes using traditional recipes and cooking methods.
• Prepare specialized gluten-free food products using rice flour, coconut, and other gluten-free ingredients.
• Prepare traditional Sri Lankan food items such as idiyappam (string hoppers), pittu, appam (hoppers), and gluten-free roti.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of Sri Lankan spices, ingredients, and traditional culinary practices.
• Manage gluten-free food preparation processes and prevent gluten cross-contamination.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality control standards, and kitchen hygiene requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of two (2) years of practical work experience in preparing traditional Sri Lankan cuisine and gluten-free food products.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Sri Lankan cooking techniques, authentic recipes, and food preparation methods.
• Proven experience in preparing gluten-free Sri Lankan specialties, including idiyappam, pittu, appam, and gluten-free roti.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, food safety standards, and gluten-free food preparation requirements.
• Ability to work independently, responsibly, and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
