About us
Pad Thai Restaurant is a Thai Restaurant located in Helsinki. We serve authentic Thai food, honoring traditional flavours and cooking techniques. We offer lunch and À la carte. Now we're looking for 2 chefs who have expertise in Thai cooking.
Job description
On the job you'll be preparing Thai food according the restaurant's and Chef de Partie's instructions. You make sure the food's taste, quality, and presentation are up to par as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen with other staff.
Key tasks
- Preparing Thai dishes, such as wok's, noodel dishes and soups.
- Prepping ingredients and making Thai sauces and spice blends.
- Making sure the food has a traditional Thai flavour, consistency and presentation.
- Managing your on station and daily cleaning and dishwashing tasks.
- Following food safety guidance, hygenic guidance and the restaurants self monitoring guidane.
Our expectations for you
- Good knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, spices and traditional cooking techniques as well as shown expertise in Thai cooking.
- Diploma or course in Thai cooking. We accept similar degrees that includes Thai cooking.
- Ability to follow the restaurants recipes and Chef de Partie's instructions
- Responsibility, diligence and ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to work on your own and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to learn the restaurants ways of working.
