Description
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Lead Health, Safety & Environment management from design through construction, commissioning and operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement the programme HSE Management System.
· Lead construction and contractor safety.
· Drive process safety, HAZID/HAZOP and ATEX requirements.
· Manage chemical safety, incident reporting and investigations.
· Develop emergency response and permit-to-work frameworks.
· Audit sites and contractors and build a proactive safety culture.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY
· Strong HSE experience in industry or major construction projects.
· Knowledge of international HSE standards and contractor-management practices.
· Ability to lead HSE in a multicultural working environment.
· Demonstrated record of building practical safety culture.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Process-industry experience.
· NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualification.
· Knowledge of IFC EHS Guidelines.
KEY SUCCESS MEASURES
· Zero-fatality culture and leading-indicator performance.
· Effective contractor HSE compliance.
· Close-out of HAZOP and audit actions before start-up.
RECRUITMENT PRINCIPLE
We are looking first and foremost for hands-on implementers with a proven record of taking real industrial or infrastructure projects from planning through procurement, construction, commissioning and operation.
The roles are part of an international renewable-energy, circular-economy, biorefining and industrial side-stream utilisation investment programme with Côte dIvoire as the principal implementation country. The portfolio includes both fast-start production projects and later large-scale industrial investments.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
A reasonable level of working English is essential. French language skills are a major advantage.

EMPLOYMENT AND LOCATION
Employment form, work location and travel requirements will be defined role by role. Some positions may begin in Finland or elsewhere in Europe, but several key roles will require significant presence in Côte dIvoire during implementation phases.
