Looking for Clever Heads!As a Senior Product Owner Signal Processing at u-blox you are responsible for the heart of u-blox’s cutting edge positioning devices. With your experience and in-depth knowledge in the domain of GNSS signal processing you are the expert for discovering and managing the technical specification of the GNSS measurement block. You are familiar with signal acquisition, tracking and decoding for GNSS signals, technical design and requirements documentation. You have ample experience with the agile way of development and with the scrum framework. Capitalizing on your profound skills in software engineering and system engineering, you efficiently mentor a team of motivated engineers to discover and refine the technical specification of the measurement engine part of our embedded GNSS real-time system. You feel responsible for testability, documentation, quality control and maintenance of the specification and you coordinate the support to our stakeholders in assessing and capturing requirements. You are able to lead the draft of new technical concepts, evaluate their feasibility and derive specifications. As a part of our international multi-site team of specialized software developers you contribute to the next generation of u-blox’s innovative and competitive positioning systems.
The position can be located in Thalwil / Switzerland or Tampere / Finland.

Tasks

• Leadership in the technical discipline of system engineering and GNSS signal processing
• Manage stakeholders such as internal development peers and customer contacts, as well as network with the relevant field in industry
• Lead the capturing of requirements and technical specification
• Create and maintain the product backlog for the measurement engine software block.
• Determine the value of backlog items and prioritize accordingly.
• Translate the backlog into achievable increments
• Quality control and error analysis  

• PhD or MS in electrical engineering or system engineering
• Experience in agile development
• Sound standing knowledge and years of experience in GNSS and related technologies
  • Digital signal processing
  • Communication theory
  • Computer science algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge in the following areas:
  • Embedded software development
  • Navigation algorithms
• Programming languages and tools:
  • Jira, Jama
  • C, C++, Perl, Python
  • Subversion, Git or other version control software
  • Matlab or Octave
• Ability to work as a member of bigger projects. Flexible team player
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
• Right to work in Switzerland or EU with international experience background
